A quick update on something that made me smile me this week, I have been shortlisted for 20 Australian Songwriting Awards (ASA awards). Not a bad effort even by my standards!

It's been a hectic past 6 months with lots of recording,shows and travel between Sydney, Perth, and the USA. My new video, which was filmed in Avoca Beach, will be showing on CMC very soon. The picture shown here was taken in between filming.
Thanks to everyone for all your support throughout the making of this album. There have been many delays in releasing 'Whole Heart To Give' but I am excited about the finished product.
A special thanks to Donna Lowe for setting up a fan site on myspace called 'RonniRaeFans'. Be sure to check it out. Also to Casey & Steve Jr. for all their work and support in running my US operations.

I've been trying to upload the video that will be shown on GAC(Great American Country) tonight on their 'Search for a Star' program. Finally, I worked out that linking to a You-Tube site is soooooo much easier than uploading it myself! If you get a chance, and feel like putting your 2 cents worth in, then PLEASE go to www.musicnation.com or www.gactv.com to vote. Meanwhile, 'Cowboys Come Home'has been yo-yo'ing up and down the CMC Top 30, so keep requesting it when you can! It's #11 on the Top 30 this week....
I will be posting the CD launch gigs soon, so it's just around the corner...PROMISE!
Next stop is filming my next video for my next single......I can't wait.....

Also, I've been featured on the latest Austrade DVD 'OZGIGS 4' which was launched last month at the (SXSW) South by Southwest Music festival in Austin, Texas.
On the gig front, I will be playing at 'Mud,Bulls & Music 2008' for the first time. I can't wait as I've heard lots about this festival. Hope to see you there if you are anywhere in the Queensland area in late October.

What a wonderful show it was on Tuesday night opening for the legend himself, Jose Feliciano. The Perth crowd were absolutely glorious,hospitable and warm to play my songs to. It was a magical night. Of course, the legend himself wowed the audience with every ounce of brilliance that makes a star.
Also, in chart news, please keep requesting 'Cowboys Come Home'...it is #10 on the Country Music Channel this week and #12 on the Top 30.

Just a quick update while I'm on the road, dividing my time between the East and West Coasts of Australia in preparation for my album release.It's a very exciting time indeed.
Even more exciting tonight is the fact that I have been asked to be the opening act for the 6 time Grammy Award winning artist, Jose Feliciano. He is critically acclaimed as the 'World's Greatest Living Guitarist'-Guitar Player Magazine. He was also one of my Dad's favourite all time musicians, so it's a big thrill for this little gal from Australia.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I spent a week in Geraldton,WA relaxing and enjoying time with family.
My new single 'Cowboys Come Home' is still climbing up the Country Tracks Top 30 chart, sitting at #17 with a bullet this week.
The new video was an absolute blast to make.I am excited to announce that it has officially been selected as the Country Music Channel's Pick of the Week. That will begin on Saturday March 29 and run as the CMC Pick through until April 5.
The CMC Top 30 is compiled from viewer requests, so log onto www.countrymusicchannel.com.au if you want to see the video more often and help it climb the chart.
Also, if you are near a computer this Sunday/Monday, depending on where you live, log onto www.cmrnashville.net and listen to me sitting around the campire chatting to fellow Aussie and award winning radio anouncer Daryl Kirkup.

It was a record attendance at the annual Boyup Brook Country Music Festival on the weekend. It was especially meaningful for me, as I won the first awards of my career there in 2004. Thanks to the Boyup Brook Committee, Rhonda Parker, Daly & Sharon and all the volunteers who do such a tremendous job putting on such a great event, which keeps getting bigger every year. I was asked to be a part of the Ute cavalcade through the streets of downtown , which was a big thrill as were checking all the utes & trucks out before hopping up (OK...with some help) onto the back of the tallest Ute there!
I stayed at a beautiful home with Fred & Geraldine Pensini. They gave me full run of the house and told me to eat as much as I wanted and they put out the most delicious, large spread of food.That definitely gave me extra energy for the shows.
If you couldn't make it out there this year, then put it on your calendar for next year!

Happy New Year!
Yep...It's been a while between updates,but I am proud to announce that the new album tracks have all been laid down and now the finishing touches are happening as I write this!(Have a listen to 'Cowboys Come Home' in the music section of this site)
I've also been recording snippets of behind the scenes 'stuff' at the studio.
I look forward to previewing some of my new songs at the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival on February 15 & 16, and it will be my first show on home soil since the Gympie Festival in August 2007....wow...time flies.
